Echoes

Echoes ring out through the valley
and cling onto a little molecule
and find their way back to me.
They start from one place
and they go to the other
and then they spin and they spin
‘til they find their host mother
‘cuz they’re like,

Chorus:
Little children playing
That won’t go away
From the place they
Have learned to stay in.

And I try to let these feelings
all go from my mouth,
but for some reason
they feel the need to stick around,
And I’ve tried a thing or two,
meditation, breathing, but nothing works
quite as well as you. ‘Cuz I’m like,

Chorus

And you’re always standing
in the back of my head,
but I wish you were just standing right here instead,
and I miss you somethin’ fierce every single day
and I really don’t like living this way,
but it’s just the price I’m gonna have to pay.
‘Cuz I’m like

Chorus
